Weather Conditions:

• Haast River Safari operates in a location that experiences high rainfall, most scheduled departures take place unless weather conditions are extreme.
• Haast River Safari operates within strict safety guidelines, trips are cancelled & operations cease when weather or river conditions may be risk to passengers, HRS staff or equipment
• Trips may be amended at any time to ensure the safety and comfort of passengers

Independent Traveller Option
Online secure payment bookings:

• Refund may be made if cancellations are advised 24 hours prior to the departure time.
• May be altered to another date / departure time if travel plans change (24 hours notice)
• Are not refunded in cases where late cancellation or client "no shows" occur

Telephone & Email bookings:

• credit card details will be held pending passenger arrival
• may be cancelled or altered to another date with 24 hours notice
• costs incurred by Haast River Safari may be charged in the event of a client "no show"

Trade reservations:

• Cancellations must be advised 24 hours prior to the departure time
• Cancellations made direct to us by the client will only be refunded at the discretion of the company/agent that issued the voucher
• When the booked departure is cancelled by HRS any refund must be claimed from the agent, or company issuing the voucher.
• Late cancellations or client "no-shows" will be invoiced at the agreed rate.

Coach Tour Option:

• Where Haast River Safari is an included activity in the Tour Package
• Tour Companies are invoiced at the rate quoted per head x the final passenger numbers advised on or prior to the tour departure.
• All quoted rates are based on a minimum of 8 passengers, when a tour proceeds with 1-5 passengers Tour Companies will be invoiced at the rate quoted per head x 8
• HRS reserves the right to combine groups where unforeseen circumstances arise

Where Haast River Safari is an optional activity

• Referral Commission is only paid to tour companies with an Optional Activity contract, and a referral voucher must be presented by the coach crew at the time of the trip
• Payment for each calendar month will be made 20th of the following month at the agreed contract rate per referral vouchers received.

It is compulsory for all passengers to wear a life jacket including children so it is important when family booking requests are made that we have the appropriate size available for all 4 and under as size can vary quite a lot.
