Pick up/drop off points:
From Queenstown
Imp Grotto pull in area, 1km downstream from Roaring Billy Walk or Flying Fox River Access at Roaring Billy (if advised).
From the Glaciers
North Side of Haast Bridge
Road Distances:
From Fox Glacier to Haast Bridge: Drive time 1.5 hours,
From Salmon Farm - 45 mins
From Makarora to Imp Grotto 45mins - 55km,
From Clark Bluff - approximately 12km
Times:
River Trip Duration - 1 hour on river, allow 10-15 minutes for processing and boarding.
Haast Bridge to Imp Grotto by road: 35 minutes
Alternatives for passengers not taking the river trip: 20 minutes either at Haast Visitor Centre or Fantail Cafe and Santana Lodge.
